What's Up? - Clear It Out

Does anyone know what time it is?

It's CHALLENGE time!!!

That's right . . . it is time for a new challenge over at Clear It Out Challenge.  Time to put away the extra blankets (there's going to be a heatwave the next day or two with temps in low 30s - lol), time to get out those old CDs (just love craftin' to music and it's been so long since I've listened to some of the old 80s bands) and time to get out your scissor, adhesive and get to craftin'!!!

So . . .

 Are you ready???

I didn't hear you . . .

Are you ready???

Okay, it's challenge time!!!

For this week's challenge, I chose to use a digi set called "Mud Piggy" from Doodle Pantry. It is such a cute set that come with both a colored and a black/white image plus some digi papers and 4 sentiments. So using the colored image and pairing the papers with some White Ruche & Brown Ruche paper from PaperTemptress, here's what I came up with:
I just love the digital paper that came with the digital pak . . . and the piggy is just too cute!!!
Remember, you have one week to get your "animal" project in over at Clear It Out Challenge in order to be eligible for this week's prize from Doodle Pantry.  It sounds like we could have a zoo with all "animals" that will be posted. :)

Happy Birthday - Eureka #129

Hi, all my crafty friends and family!!!

There's a new challenge this week at Eureka Stamps . . . and the theme this week is "Birthday Cards"!!! How great is that!?!?! (I know I am always in need of yet another birthday card.)

For this week's challenge, I decided to use just a sentiment as my main focal point.  So I chose digi7801 "Happy Birthday"  by Eureka Stamps. After changing the "color" of the image, here's what I came up with:

I just love how the image worked with my stitched circle dies . . . I used the 3" one the set from Lawn Fawn.  All the papers are from JillyBean except for the yellow, which is Yellow Ruche from PaperTemptress (just LOVE the extra texture it give to the card).

Remember, you have one week to get your birthday cards in over at Eureka Stamps in order to be eligible for the weekly prize.  And for more inspiration, check out the other Design Team members' cards . . . they are so AMAZING!!!

Till the next time I'm up in the night.

Happy Birthday - HIMCR #188

Hi, all my crafty friends and family!!!

Here it is the 3rd Saturday of the month
and you know what that means, right?

That's right . . . not only is it time for a new challenge over at Hiding in My Craft Room, but it is a "technique" challenge.  For this week's challenge, you are to use a cute technique Laurie found on Splitcoast Stampers using a pencil eraser to stamp...it's basically using erasers dipped in ink to create a background or design or ANYTHING you can think of!!! Here's a link to give you some ideas - Erasers!

The sponsor is Scrapper's Delights!

The giveaway is 3 images of winner's choice from Scrapper's Delights.

For this week's challenge, I chose "Kira Pony" from Scrapper's Delights because I am in need of some little girl cards and I thought this would be cute using the "eraser" stamping technique Laurie challenged us to use.  So using a small star eraser, I stamped a small star on the pony's behind. Then along the outside 1-1/2" of the base of my card, I "stamped" it using multiple colors...I also did the same with the die "happy" (die from PaperTrey Ink).  Here's how it turned out:

I colored the mane and tail with my Inktense pencils and then used my Copics for the body. Pretty simple and so pretty, I think. :)

Remember, you have one week to get your projects in over at Hiding in My Craft Room in order to be eligible for the prize from Scrapper's Delights.

Till the next time I'm up in the night.

St. Pat's Fairy - Clear It Out Challenge

Does anyone know what time it is?

It's CHALLENGE time!!!

That's right . . . it is time for a new challenge over at Clear It Out Challenge.  Time to put away the mop (it's only going to get dirty again with there still so much snow and ice out there with sand & salt on it), time to turnoff the television (been over a year since watching the soaps, so another day isn't going to matter - lol) and time to get out your scissor, adhesive and get to craftin'!!!

 Are you ready???

I didn't hear you . . .

Are you ready???

Okay, it's challenge time!!!

Theme:  Any holiday
Stash: gold or yellow things

You have one (1) week to play (till February 23rd)

This week our sponsors are:

For this week's project, I chose a cute digi image called "St. Pat's Fairy" by Karen Middleton' for Sweet Pea Stamps. So using my Derwent Inktense pencils and Wink of Stella brush pen, this is what I came up with:

I just LOVED working with this image . . . so many different possibilities with the coloring.  The paper I used were scraps I had from my "Sun Bliss" 6x6 paper pad and the flowers are misc. from my stash.

Remember, you have one week till February 23rd to get your project in at Clear It Out Challenge in order to be eligible for one of the weekly prizes this week.  We can't wait to see what "holiday" you chose to do this time round. :)

Till the next time I'm up in the night.

Dreaming of You - Eureka #128

Hi, all my crafty friends and family!!!

Did everyone have a Happy Valentine's Day?!?!

I know I did even though the hubby and I decided to stay at home to avoid the crowds. We plan on going out to one of my favorite steak places this coming week instead . . . which is a good thing because there's some nasty stuff starting to go around and I don't need to get ill again.

Anyway, I want to let you know about a new challenge this week at Eureka Stamps . . . and the theme this week is "Birds of a Feather"!!! How fun is that!?1?!

For this week's challenge, I had a hard time deciding between two different digis but ended up using  digi6205(227) Small Feather on Side" by Eureka Stamps. So using a "dream catcher" as my inspiration, here's what I came up with:

I used my Derwent Inktense pencils to on the feathers.  They are like watercolor pencils, but are more vibrant and ink-like.  I just LOVE them!!!  The sentiment "Dreaming of You" is computer-generated using the "FreeScript" font in MSWord.  The twine is from The Twinery and the bling is from CTMH.  NOTE: To get my feathers at different angles, I had to use photo software instead of my usual MSWord2013 so I could rotate them just a bit...it took a few tries to get it all aligned (I haven't figured out how to get the "ruler" to show up on my computer screen-lol), but was very happy with the results.

Remember, you have one week to get your projects in over at Eureka Stamps in order to be eligible for the weekly prize.  We can't wait to see what you come up with this week.

Till the next time I'm up in the night.

Thanks, Friend - HIMCR #187

Hi, all my crafty friends and family!!!

Here it is the 2nd Saturday of the month
and you know what that means, don't you?

That's right . . . not only is it time for a new challenge over at
Hiding in My Craft Room, but it's time for Super Scraps Saturday.

Plus, with it being Valentine's Day, the HIMCR DT is having
a special little "Valentine's Day" blog hop!?!?!

This week's sponsor is Little Miss Muffet Stamps!
The giveaway is $6 Gift Certificate to Little Miss Muffet Stamps!!!

For this week's challenge, I chose to use the "Sunflowers" digi image from Little Miss Muffet.  So I got out my scraps from my "Sun Kiss" 6x6 paper pad by Prima and came up with this:

Originally, I didn't have a sentiment on my card (you can see the original card without sentiments on the HIMCR blog).  But last night I needed a quick "Thank You" card for a friend, so I added a "Thanks" die at the top left and stamped "FRIEND" on a stitched die label at the bottom right. Here's a closeup of it:

I hope my friend likes it . . . I know I love the soft colors of it and the sunflowers. :)

So onto the other important item of today - I said there was a blog hop right?! Well, yes there is! Just for you and just for Valentine's Day. The HIMCR DT members are in a giving mood and decided they wanted to give away some BLOG CANDY!!!

To be eligible for MY prize please leave a comment below, and become a follower of my blog if you aren't already.  The winner will have a choice of a goodie package or a $10 gift certificate to Little Miss Muffet . . . but who knows, maybe I'll give away BOTH items depending on how many comment. :)

Please hop along to the next person and show them some love!

---------------------->Kathy <------You are here

And please visit the Hiding in My Craftroom page and let Laurie know that you left a comment on everyone else's blog to be eligible to win an EXTRA prize on her blog!!!

GOOD LUCK . . . and HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!
