I was trying to do a different project for each challenge. And even though, the deadline had been extended, I did end up combining 3 challenges on project because I spent the extra time finding and printing pictures to go on my layouts. I had also had 1 project that combined 2 challenges, but with the extension, I redid one (1) of the challenges. Without further delay, here's what I did:
1st project - This project is for Scrappy Canuck's challenge. Her challenge for us was to create a layout in under one (1) hour or a card in less than 30 minutes. Here's what I came up with:
Supplies
CC Products:
"Summer's End" paper by Fancy Pants (from FP grab bags)
"Funday" rhinestones by MME
"Dear Santa" rhinestones by MME
Walnut Stain distress ink
Snake Tape
NonCC Products: "Summer's End" chipboard stickers; and Misc. ribbon (from stash)
2nd project - This project is for Karey2005's challenge. The challenge was to create a project that has somehting on it that you would find in nature (like a flower, tree, frog, etc.). Here's what I came up with:
Supplies
CC Products:
"Springtime" paper collection by Echo Park
White cardstock by Echo Park
Blue China and Walnut Stain distress inks
Snake Tape
NonCC Products: Layered butterflies and rosettes by American Crafts
My things you would find in nature are butterflies and the grass that I made from a strip of green paper using my "fringe" scissors by Martha Stewart.
3rd project - I used this project for 3 challenges . . . ByBelle, Raebae, and NanCDru. For bybelle's challenge, she wanted us to create a project of your choice; card, layout, home decor or altered item that has a handmade NON paper embellishment. For Raebae's challenge, she wanted us to make a project celebrating the every day moments. And for NanCDru's challenge, she wanted us to create a project using alcohol inks. Here's what I came up with:
Supplies
CC Products:
"Times and Seasons" paper collections by Echo Park
Cranberry alcohol ink
Denim spray wash
Rhinestones by MME
NonCC products: shrinky dink plastic; PopUp Glue Dots; and "Platinum Pearl" Liquid Pearls
I made this layout for everyday moments and used a sticker for the title "Remember This". I ran out of photo paper, so I'll put pictures on it later. I used shrinky dink plastic for my "handmade" embellishment (the flowers) for bybelle's challenge. I colored them with alcohol ink and spray ink (NanCDru's challenge).
4th project - This project is for Beth488's challenge. She wanted us to create a project using the American flag for inspiration . . . it could be the colors, 50 stars, 13 stripes, or a combination. I decided to use the number "13" by putting 13 banners/flags on my layout. Here's what I came up with:
Supplies
CC Products:
"Times and Seasons" paper collection by Echo Park
"Funday" rhinestones by MME
Walnut Stain distress ink and Snake Tape
As you will end up seeing on my following projects, I had a thing for using "stripes" or strips of paper on my layouts. Not only did it allow me to use more patterns, tt was a good way to use up scraps. :)
5th Project - This project if for Scrapaddict4life-Laura's challenge. She wanted us to create a card using a journal box/card (EP collections has a great option) and bling of any kind . . . glittery brads, rhinestones, pearls, stickles, glitter, etc. I ended up making 2 very simple cards. Here's what I came up with:
Supplies
CC Products:
"Build a card" by Imaginice (stripe card base)
Doodlebug cards (red card base)
"Sweet Day" paper collection by Echo Park (journal boxes/cards)
"Dear Santa" rhinestones by MME (red and light green)
Walnut Stain distress ink and Snake Tape
6th project - This project is for Mom2tayandbay's challenge. Her challenge was to make a layout with the theme of "Are We There Yet?:. Didn't have to use that for the title, ut it should be something about raveling to your destination. Here's what I came up with:
Supplies
CC Products:
"Great Escape" travel map paper by Making Memories
Black Bazzill cardstock
Green Bazzill cardstock
Cream Bazzill cardstock
Brown Bazzill cardstock
Making Memories Travel Embellishment Kit
Walnut Stain distress ink and Snake Tape (brads, ticket, & tape)
NonCC product: chevron paper (there wasn't a name on it); and "Avocado" liquid pearls
I got my inspiration for this layout from my LSS. I had seen a layout at my LSS using MM's "Great Escape" travel paper. I wrote down the saying so I could print it on my computer. I went through the my Bazzill cardstock grab bags and found some that would work . . . not a "perfect" match, but would do. I also used Tim Holtz flourish die (as they also did in the one at my LSS) to help give it some "umpf). How did I do? :)
7th project - This project is for NinaN's challenge. Her challenge was to use a pinwheel on project. When I think of pinwheels, I think of fairs . . . city, county and state. Here's what I came up with:
Supplies
CC Product:
"Funday" paper collection by MME
6x6 "Funday" paper pad by MME
"Funday" wood banners by MME
"Funday" rhinestones by MME
"Funday" layered stickers by MME
Walnut Stain distress ink and Snake Tape
NonCC product: Micro Glue Dots
Since I wasn't sure where my State Fair pictures were, I decided to do my LO without photo mats . . . just use different sizes of the paper to "decorate". Once I find my pictures, I'll probably print them in black/white or sepia tone for an antique look like the paper. For the left page, I cut and curled the pinwheel paper for a different look. I also used a distress tool to give my paper a different distressed look . . . the "Funday" paper is very sturdy/thick so it held up well.
8th project - This project is for Christina's challenge. We were to create a card, layout or projct of choice celebrating either Canada Day or Independence Day. Here's what I came up with:
Supplies
CC Product:
"Glory" paper collection by Authentique
Walnut Stain distress ink and Snake Tape
NonCC product: Misc. buttons and "Rouge" Liquid Pearls
When I was thinking of Independence Day, I thought of fireworks. So I used how the fireworks looked in the sky for inspiration for my layout . . . how I cut and arranged my paper. (I had seen on Pinterest a LO using buttons symbolizing snow falling, so why not paper for fireworks?) Since I have a hard time taking decent pictures of fireworks, I did print 2 pictures from the internet to help complete my layout.
9th project - This project was for my final challenge . . . Half2Scrap's challenge. Her challenge was to use at least 3 different alpha on your project. Here's what I came up with:
Supplies
CC Products:
"Sweet Day" paper collection by Echo Park
Paradise Beach Alpha by Echo Park
Springtime alpha by Echo Park
Jenni Bowlin red rub-on alphas
Walnut Stain distress ink and Snake Tape
NonCC product: Misc. alphas (Authintique-pink;
MLS-green; Doodlebug-orange, black)
I saw the saying "Surround Yourself with people who are going to lift you higher" on Pinterest using a different alpha for each word . . . it was a piece of altered art. When I saw it, I immediately thought of this challenge and wanted to use paper that had hot air balloons . . . I was thinking of Lime Twist, but couldn't find it. I found some in "Sweet Day". So using a LO I also found on Pinterest, not realizing it also used "Sweet Day". So it worked out GREAT! Since I wasn't sure what pictures I was going to use, I didn't put photo mats on this layout.
Well, that's it for for my projects for the blog hop (there were 12 including my challenge, so I had 11 challenges to do) . . . I had so much fun. I think I did more layouts in the past week that I have in the past month. lol I hope we do something like this again!
Till the next time I'm Up in the Night. Kathy

Kathy....you did 12 challenges....you made a sample for your own!....lol....so you did ALL twelve....and they are all AMAZING!! Great job on every one! And thanks for doing my challenge too....super cute cards....that's what's great about using those journal boxes....super easy too!
There is no way you did that first LO in under an hour!!!!!
Great work on every LO! Your pinwheel is beautiful!
I did do the 1st project under an hour (42 minutes) because I had the paper already picked out the night before. So all I had to do was cut strips, ink and glue. :) But I agree, with all the different patterns, it does look like it would take more than an hour.
Your layouts turned out great! I love everything you did!!
I love all your projects!!! But I love the way you did the banners for mine - it was a great take on the stripes idea. And I have to admit, I hadn't realized that kit had so much red, white and blue in it. Thanks for all you did for this hop - both organizing and participating!!!
