Hi, all my crafty friends and family!!!
Hope you all have been staying warm this past week. I know, it's been a challenge here in central Iowa with the highs below zero with the windchill being negative 2-digits (-32 just a few days ago) and lows just as cold. It truly has been cold outside!!!
Which makes the new challenge at
Eureka Stamps just perfect . . . the theme is "Boy, it's cold outside"!!!
For this week's challenge, I chose
digi17301 "Snow Scene Circle" by
Eureka Stamps. When I saw this stamp, I knew I would be changing the color of it, but was unsure as to what color . . . but after going thru my paper "collection", I chose blue. Here's what I came up with:
Supplies:
"Tailgate Marked" paper collection by Riddersholm Design
"Scribe" paper from the Accomplished paper collection by Authentique (the gold script)
flowers from "Spring Darjeeling" collection by Petaloo Premier
pyramid studs (antique silver) by 7Gypsies
swirl from Kraft Wood Shapes by Bo Bunny (broke in 1/2)
Vintage Photo Distress Ink
I really like the feel of this card . . .not only does it give a feel of "being cold outside", but it has a vintage feel to it, too. Oh, and for those who are wondering, I changed the color of my image in a MSWord document and used "blue - 1 light". Then I printed it on "Bygone Era" paper from the Tailgate Marked paper collection by Riddersholm Design (I cut paper down to 8-1/2"x11" before putting in the printer). Hope that helps. If any questions, please ask and I'll try to help.
Now let's get to craftin' so we can stay warm!!!
Till the next time I'm up in the night.
Challenges I would like to enter:
(I experimented with making a "custom" color in my document rather than using the few given)
