Clear It Out Challege - Something hoarded

Does anyone know what time it is?

It's CHALLENGE time!!!

Yes, it is time for a new challenge over at Clear It Out Challenge
It is time to set the "Summer" clothes aside (can sort out warmer weather
clothing later because if your weather is like it has been here, it can't
make up its mind on whether to stay warm or not - lol);
turn off the TV (nothing but talk shows on right now anyway);
and time to get your crafty on!!! And, as usual, our wonderful
leader, Laura, has come up with another AMAZING challenge
for us.   So easy, peasy, lemon squeesy . . .

 Are you ready???

I didn't hear you . . .

Are you ready???

Okay, it's challenge time!!!

Theme:  Anything Goes
Stash: something you've been hoarding

And you have one (1) week to play (till April 7th)

This week our sponsor is:

For this week's challenge, I chose another "Rory" digi image (Rory sitting on a rainbow) from Lacy Sunshine. I chose her . . . well, I needed something to remind me that the warm weather will eventually be here for good . . . as soon as it makes up its mind.  I think it was actually 73 degrees yesterday with a low of 41F.. It has been long COLD winter, so this warmer weather is a welcome change. So with that in mind, I came up with this card:

I used a sketch from Mojo Monday (again - I just love their sketches), but tried to keep the card clean and simple as not to take from the image.  As I've said before, Rory is my favorite digi character from Lacy Sunshine. :)

My hoarded items are some of the papers . . . either have een down to my last sheet and need to order more OR it's the last piece period (the orange) and I can't find it anywhere. Also, the crinkle ribbon is from 3Girl Jam that I ordered as a gift and it's a small piece I cut off it before giving the rest away.

Now remember, you have one week (till April 7th) to get your projects in so you can be eligible for the prize at Clear It Out Challenge..  I can't wait to see what everyone else has been hoarding.

Till the next time I'm up in the night.

Thank You -- Eureka #134

and winners . . .
(will announce my winners o Julies's 3rd Blogoversary Blog Hop at the end of this post)

Hi, all my crafty friends and family!!!

There's a new challenge this week at Eureka Stamps . . . and the theme this week is "More Spring". Perfect since the weather STILL can't make up its mind!!!  LOL

For this week's challenge, I used digi36303 "Spring set of 4" and digi25411 "Vertical Thank You"  from Eureka Stamps.  So using my new pastel pencils and some of my favorite PaperTemptress papers, here's what I came up with:

Supplies:
digi36303 "Spring set of 4" from Eureka Stamps.
digi25411 "Vertical Thank You"  from Eureka Stamps.
"Lagoon" Mica.Metallic paper from PaperTemptress (blue paper)
White/Ivory Leather paper from PaperTemptress
Cryogen Iridescent paper from PaperTemptress
Derwent Inktense pencils
Derwent Pastel pencils

I love the soft look (or maybe watercolor look) the pastel pencils gave the images. One piece of advice - once done with one image/part, either spray a fixative or be VERY careful not to rub/rest your hand on it untile you do. Otherwise, it'll smudge . . .  believe me, I know. lol What I did was use q-tips to blend my clors gently, then "tp" paper on table to release any extra pencil "dust". It seemed to work.

Remember, you have one week to get your "More Spring" projects in over at Eureka Stamps in order to be eligible for the weekly prize.  And for more inspiration, check out the other Design Team members' cards . . . they really are so inspiring!!!

Now onto my winners of Julie's 3rd Blogoversary Blog Hop . . .

Have a Sunshine Day - Eureka #133

Hi, all my crafty friends and family!!!

There's a new challenge this week at Eureka Stamps . . . and the theme this week is "Think Spring". Perfect since Spring is officially here even if the weather can't make up its mind!!!  LOL

For this week's challenge, I used digi15003 "Sunshine Day" from Eureka Stamps.  As many of you already know, I went to a 5-day crop last weekend . . . well, one of the make 'n takes was an Easter Basket using one of the CTMH CriCut cartridges for the basket and bow.  It was so cute, I decided to use the same one for my May Day baskets this year . . . and who know, maybe since I'm starting over a month ahead of time, I'll actually get enough made this year. lol  Anyway, using Julie Berg's idea as inspiration, here's what I came up with:

Supplies:
ddigi15003 "Sunshine Day" from Eureka Stamps
Cricut Artiste cartridge from CTMH
"Hopscotch" paper collection from CTMH (pattern and pink papers)
"Lagoon" Mica.Metallic paper from PaperTemptress (blue paper)
Ivory Feltweave paper from PaperTemptress (off-white paper)
Derwent Inktense pencils

I changed the line color of my digi to dark orange and then colored with my Inktense pencils . . . love how it matched up with my papers.  Hope these will make someone happy. :)

Remember, you have one week to get your "Think Spring" projects in over at Eureka Stamps in order to be eligible for the weekly prize.  And for more inspiration, check out the other Design Team members' cards . . . they really are so inspiring!!!

Till the next time I'm up in the night.

Julie's 3rd Blogoversary Blog Hop

Hi, all my crafty friends and family!!!

Welcome to my stop on the Julie's Blogoversary Blog hop.  I love this event each year as it grows and grows with some of the very best crafty ladies on the planet!  We have TONS of sponsors this year, so there are lots of prizes!  Here are our wonderful sponsors!

The theme this year is "Lucky to Call You Friend." I have some blog candy available.  I'm giving away a $25 gift certificate to PaperTemptress.com and a bag of blog candy (paper, ribbon, embellies).  If you follow me, that would be great. And if you would leave a comment, that would be even better. )

I've known Julie from our CropChocolate.com days and am blessed to call her "friend".  I also had the privilege meeting her in person at a retreat...she's even nicer in person.  This past weekend I went to a Scrappin' for Soldiers crop where I met up with other friends and during our time there, we did a "She-Art" class.  Julie Berg was our "teacher" and once she showed us what to do, we went to work on our own creations . . . everyone's was completely different. Here's how mine turned out:

Thanks for stopping by today.  Here's a complete list of the blog hop list:

Just Because - HIMCR #191

Hi, all my crafty friends and family!!

Here it is Saturday once again
and you know what that means, don't you?

That''s right . . . it's time for a new challenge over at Hiding In My Craft Room and this week's challenge is to do any kind of embossing.  You can even use pre-embossed paper!!

So let's have FUN!!!

The sponsor is:

For this week's challenge, I chose a cute digi image called "Sweet Skunks" from Pickled Potpourri.  After using some card pieces I had from an embossing class I took from Julie Berg this past weekend at a Scrappin For Soldiers crop and combining them with some of my favorite PaperTemptress papers (Cryogen  Iridescent and Onyx mica/metallic papers),  here's what I came up with:

On the first card, all papers are from CTMH except for the white, which is Cryogen Iridescent paper from PaperTemptress .  And on the 2nd card, the red and blue papers are CTMH while the black and white are from PaperTemptress . The sketches are from Julie Berg from CTMH.  Thanks, Julie, for the GREAT class . . . and for the GREAT time this past weekend!!!  These cards will now go to Operation Write Home . . . which I think is fitting since I got most of the supplies and ideas from a Scrappin for Soldiers' event. :)

Remember, you have one (1) week to get your embossing projects in at Hiding In My Craft Room in order to be eligible for this week''s prize.  Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with this time round.

Till the next time I'm up in the night.

Happy St. Patrick's Day - Eureka #132

Hi, all my crafty friends and family!!!

There's a new challenge this week at Eureka Stamps . . . and the theme this week is "The color Green". Perfect for some St. Patty's cards . . . or some Spring cards!!!

For this week's challenge, I used digi4206"Happy St. Patrick;s Day" from Eureka Stamps. So using some of my PaperTemptress paper (Cryogen, Flame Mica/Metallic and Jellybean Pop Tunes papers), here's what I came up with:

I used metal durables from CTMH along with twine from The Twinery . . . I colored the shamrocks with Derwent Inktense pencils & a "clear" Wink of Stella brush pen. I just love the simplicity of this card . . . what can I say? I love CAS cards!!!

Remember, you have one week to get your "Green" project in over at Eureka Stamps in order to be eligible for the weekly prize.  And for more inspiration, check out the other Design Team members' cards . . . they really are so inspiring!!!

Hello - Clear It Out

Does anyone know what time it it?

That's right . . .

It's CHALLENGE time!!!

It's time for a new challenge over at Clear It Out Challenge,  And once again, our fearless leader, Laura, has come up with another AMAZING challenge for us this week . . . a "Color" challenge.  So let's get out our paper, scissors, and glue because . . .

It's CHALLENGE time!!!

Theme: Orange
Stash: Orange embellishments

You have one (1) week to play (till March 16th).

This week our sponsor is MelJen's Designs:

For this week's challenge, I chose to use a cute digi called "Little Layered Flower - Button Daisy" by MelJen's Designs. I love how whimsical her designs are and this digi was no different.  So after coloring it with my Copics, here's what I came up with:

Supplies:
"Little Layered Flower - Button Daisy" by MelJen's Designs
Yellow Ruche paper from PaperTemptress
Flame mica/metallic paper from PaperTemptress
Cryogen (Iridescent) paper from PaperTemptress
PopTunes paper (in Gumdrop green) from PaperTemptress
"On the Bright Side" 6x6 paper pad from MME
"Hello" washi tape
orange rhinestones from Lush collection by MME
Copic markers
stitched circle die
Helmar Scrap Dots

Since the background on the washi tape was cream and I wanted to "pop" it up off the card, I put it on a scrap piece of the "Gumdrop Green" paper and trimmed it . . . I really like the way it turned out.  What do you think?

Remember, you have one (1) week (till March 16th) to get your "orange" projects in at Clear It Out Challenge in order to be eligible for the weekly prize.  I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with this week . . . and for more inspiration, please check out the other Clear It Out Design Team member's projects.  They truly are AMAZING!!!

Just a note - Eureka #131

Hi, all my crafty friends and family!!!

There's a new challenge this week at Eureka Stamps . . . and the theme this week is "Anything Goes".  How fun!!!

After receiving a request a few weeks ago on what do I do with small stamps, I decided to make some small cards using digi9007 "Heart Note"  by Eureka Stamps since it also comes as a red rubber stamp (9007 "Heart Note") which is 1/2"x1". You really can do a lot with smaller stamps without much effort. So getting out some of my favorite papers from PaperTemptress (Vintage Silver Lustre paper and Mica/Metallic papers text weight in Jupiter Red, Onyx & Lagoon), here's what I came up with:

I used a die cut for the card base and computer generated the sentiment. After adding raindrops from PaperTrey Ink for one more element, they were done.

I just love how the texture of the Vintage Silver Lustre paper adds that extra special touch to CAS cards like these. And the mica/metallic papers in text weight give an extra sparkle and dimension to them.

Remember, you have one week to get your "Anything Goes" project in over at Eureka Stamps in order to be eligible for the weekly prize.  And for more inspiration, check out the other Design Team members' cards . . . they really are so inspiring!!!

Till the next time I'm up in the night.

Happy Spring - HIMCR #190

Hi, all my crafty friends and family!!!

Here it is the 1st Saturday of the month
and you know what that means, don't you???

That's right . . . is it time for a new challenge over at Hiding In My Craft Room, but it's time for a "color" challenge.  This week's challenge is "Spring Colors".

And our sponsor is PaperTemptress:

For this week's challenge, I used a digi image I had leftover from a previous challenge . . . I usually color two or three at a time and keep the extras for another time.  So combining it with papers from PaperTemptress, here's what I came up with:

The papers I used are:

I chose the colors I did because they are the colors I see around my home in the Spring.  The gray is the color of our sky before a Spring shower.  While the blue and white are the colors of the sky afterward a shower. And the pink is the color of the flowers that will start to peek out after the cold winter says "Goodbye". What colors remind you of Spring?

Remember, you have one week (till March 14th at 2am PST) to get your "Spring" colors' projects in at Hiding in My Craft Room in order to be eligible for the weekly prize, which is from PaperTemptress this week.  I can't wait to see what colors remind you of Spring.

Till the next time I'm up in the night.

Enjoy Friend - Clear It Out Challenge

Does anyone know what time it it?

That's right . . .

It's time for a new challenge over at Clear It Out Challenge,  And once again, our fearless leader, Laura, has come up with another AMAZING challenge for us this week . . . an "anything goes" challenge.  So let's get out our paper, scissors, and glue . . .

Are you ready?

I didn't hear you . . .

Are you ready?

It's CHALLENGE time!!!

Theme: Anything Goes
Stash: Anything Goes

And you have 1 week to play (till March 16th)

This week our sponsor is Dr. Digi's House of Stamps
(aka Dr. Digi):

For this week's challenge, I chose a digi image called "Biffo (color)" from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps (aka Dr. Digi). This image comes in both black/white and in color - I chose the colored one because I loved all the detailing it had like the plaid pants.  So pairing it with my "Birthday Bisque" paper by JilliBean and some Yellow Ruche from PaperTemptress along with her Cryogen Iridescent paper, here's what I came up with:

I used a stitched die to on the image and A2 card die for part of the matting. The "Enjoy" die is from PaperTrey Ink along with the word "Friend". Now all I need to do is address an envelope and get it in the mail so it arrives on time for her birthday.

Remember, you have one week (till March 16th) to get your projects in at Clear It Out Challenge, so you can be eligible for the weekly prize which is from  Dr. Digi's House of Stamps (aka Dr. Digi).  Can't wait to see what you come up with this week.

"Dream" - Eureka #130

Hi, all my crafty friends and family!!!

There's a new challenge this week at Eureka Stamps . . . and the theme this week is "Anything but a card".  How fun!!!

For this week's challenge, I decided to make a bookmark using "French Love Letter" and another called digi6303 Feather on Side by Eureka Stamps.  So using French Love Letter as a background, fussy cutting the feather after "coloring" it with Inktense pencils and some sprays & splats of ink, here's what I came up with:

I also used twine from The Twinery and made the sentiment on my label maker.  The paper is from PaperTemptress - Cryogen Irridescent (feather and base), Onyx Mica/Metallic (border) and Heavenly White 120# (background). I just love how this turned out . . . so much so that I'm not sure I want to really use it and have it get dirty. lol

Remember, you have one week to get your "Anything but a card" project in over at Eureka Stamps in order to be eligible for the weekly prize.  And for more inspiration, check out the other Design Team members' cards . . . they really are so inspiring!!!

Till the next time I'm up in the night.
